Easter Greetings

Wishing a Happy Easter to all those who celebrate, and a Peaceful Passover to those observing it.
Some tidbits about Easter:
Easter is one of the few floating holidays in the calendar year, because it's based on the cycles of the moon. Jesus was said to have risen from the dead on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring. For that reason, Easter can fall as early as March 22nd and as late as April 25th.
The word "Easter" comes from an ancient pagan goddess worshipped by Anglo Saxons named Eostre. According to legend, Eostre once saved a bird whose wings had frozen during the winter by turning the bird into a rabbit. Because the rabbit had once been a bird, it could still lay eggs, and that rabbit became our Easter Bunny.

You're welcome, and Thanks Jana and Rae!

About the card:

The technique used for the background is called "polished stone." You have to use glossy cardstock, glossy side up. On a piece of felt you drop different shades of re-inkers, then go over that with an alcohol solution, which blends the colors together, then dab over the glossy cardstock. Because of the way the colors bleed together, each one is unique.

I used Blush Blossom, Cameo Coral and Certainly Celery from Stampin' Up and echoed those colors in the flowers from the Painted Posies set (also Stampin' Up).

The egg template is from: http://www.houseofstirfry.com/chia/templates/tempI.html

Hey...that looks REALLY familiar...do I see a pattern here!

Thanks H!

Oh Hi Rae! (Margie from Oz)

Pattern? Nope, none at all. They're all different, I swear - if only slightly. That's the beauty of the marbled background this technique creates. It doesn't matter if you use the same colors for ten cards or fifty, they all look a little bit different.
