Sometimes I've started my Christmas cards as early as July, and some years I don't manage to come up with a design until just before Thanksgiving -- which means doing as much work on them as possible over the long holiday weekend.

It helps that a friend and I usually hold crafting weekends October through December (and sometimes Christmas in July), to work on our cards and to finish other handmade gifts. The latter is usually ceramics for her, and cross-stitch for me.

This year I finished cards for one friend's Christmas gift and the assembly of my Blue Christmas ornaments on NYE, mere hours before friends and I got together. It wasn't so much procrastination this year as the fact that I've had an upper resp. virus since Halloween. Just when it seems I'm finally improving, I seem to relapse. :-\Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17700809709293636333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15015304.post-17210736089074248622015-01-08T09:50:00.840-06:002015-01-08T09:50:00.840-06:00Jana: Thank you! I barely got all of mine out before Christmas Eve, and yours was awaiting me when I returned from my sister's. You are so talented! How long did it take to make all of them? Do you start making them now for next year, or do you wait until just before the holidays. This break was not the most fun one I've had. Hope you don't mind getting a New Year's card instead! :-/Janahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17497608180842403825noreply@blogger.com
