Just have a couple of Kleenex handy! ;)

Elise - I rarely get to the cinema anymore, usually only once or twice a year myself. Movies don't seem to play as long as they used to, and come out on DVD so soon now anyway.

Sandier - Ah, another vote for the big screen. It would have made the subtitled passages a bit easier, wouldn't it?

Sue - I haven't seen Bolt yet, but hear it was cute.

Paige - What? That's the only movie on the list you've ever seen? Tsk tsk tsk... Not my prefered genres, but I do hope you enjoy them!

Harriet - Well...to be honest, I cheat a little. I record books and movies in my journal. Comes in handy for weeks like this. ;)

Brenda - The movie was pretty good, but as I said above, I wish I had read (reread?) the book before seeing the movie. Then again, NOT reading the book first is one way to avoid being disappointed in the movie. *g*Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17700809709293636333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15015304.post-65433333797205564842009-05-14T11:02:00.000-05:002009-05-14T11:02:00.000-05:00Alice - If you went to an actual theater twice in ...Alice - If you went to an actual theater twice in one month, you definitely have me beat--I haven't been to the cinema since March. Some weekends you can't help but love cable and DVDs!

Carleen - I could have sworn I read this book when younger, but nothing about the movie was familiar. I really should have gotten my hands on a copy before seeing it. I am also not surprised that Terabithia is one of the most-challenged books.

Ms Menozzi - I had not seen Stripes in ages, so when I saw it was on this past weekend... I remembered some parts of it, but had completely forgotten the line about Wisconsin: "We zip in, we pick them up, and we zip right out again. We're not going to Moscow. It's Czechoslovakia, it's like going into Wisconsin." Hehe...

Hootin' Anni - I really liked Slumdog, but it really is best to see it on the largest screen possible. There are a lot of subtitles in the first half that can be hard to read on a regular sized TV. Don't let the subtitles put you off--it's definitely worth renting!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17700809709293636333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15015304.post-84190247522988241752009-05-14T10:20:00.000-05:002009-05-14T10:20:00.000-05:00Of those on your list, we've seen Mary Poppins!
