The offerings at the local Christmas tree lot looked rather festive under a fresh dusting of snow Saturday morning. Too bad I don't have room (or money!) for a real tree...
You take some 1"x2" boards and nail them together in a triangle, then wrap the triangle up in that fake greenery they have everywhere this time of year, wrap Christmas lights around it, then hang ornaments off the wire and string in the previous two layers. Hang it in front of one of those gauze curtains and plug in the lights and most people can't tell it isn't real.
Those look postcard perfect! *swoony sigh*
ReplyDeleteDon't they just? *g*
ReplyDeleteI love real trees, but they take more care than we are likely to give and take up way too much room. We use a two-dimensional tree.
ReplyDeleteYeah, their lack of longevity is one reason against live trees. I don't think one would fare well in my dry apartment, either.
ReplyDeleteTwo dimensional tree??
Oh, those are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Forgetfulone! I currently have the bottom one on my computer desktop at work. *g*

ReplyDelete*Shakes head* You have GOT to post pictures of that on your blog.
ReplyDeleteBut that means... *shudder* ... I have to dig them out!
ReplyDeleteOh fine. Give me a few days.
