This reminds me of an article in our local paper today. The Forest Service reclaimed a wetland by giving some cattails a "haircut" with burning and running cattle. Seems those things can get out of hand pretty fast. The cattails I mean.
I believe it. They're definitely a hardy species, and controlled burning is beneficial in so many ways. Not only does it kill off more invasive species, it helps native species thrive.
