Starry Night

Back in March of 2011, I mentioned a large project that I had dug out to finish for myself. This was something I started X number of years ago, then set aside and somehow never got back to. Well, I am pleased to say that I did actually finish this project, on June 26, 2011. Here's a month-by-month chronology in completing this cross-stitch. Now to find a frame I like (and can afford)!

    Did you see Opal yarn came out with a Van Gough collection?

    Thanks, Susan! As you can tell by the monthly progress, I worked on it quite steadily -- at least a strand or two every day -- for five months to finally get it done. I can't wait to find a suitable frame.

    I did not know there was a "Van Gogh" collection of yarn. Interesting.

    That's beautiful, Heather. My daughter loves that painting. I'm going to tell her about the Van Gogh collection as she is a cross stitcher.

    Kaye: Thanks, this is one of my favorite paintings, too. When I saw it at the Musée d'Orsay on high school trip, friends had to literally drag me away from it. It's small, but mesmerizing.
