I've been watching this snowpile, about a block from where I live, for the past few weeks. I have a feeling it will be completely gone before the week is out.
And doesn't it make you glad? We've been in the 80's for highs for several days now. It feels like summer, but I keep expecting it to snow again any time now.
Alice: Yes, it does make me happy. I'd be even happier if it would actually stay warm. We had 82F last Tuesday, then it dropped into the 40s and 50s through yesterday. Now it's supposed to be back up into the 70s and maybe even 80 for the rest of this week. It's crazy!
Jana:Yeah, the snow tends to look rather disgusting after a few days, and even worse this late in the season. Guess sooty black is better than yellow, though. ; )
