We had rain and storms moving through the area last Thursday through Sunday. Saturday evening I was shopping with a friend. When we exited the store about 6:30pm, this is what the sky looked like directly above us looking west:
This is the sky looking towards the north:
Towards the west, behind the orange-tinted clouds above us:
I really liked the way these criss-crossed power lines at the intersection looked against the storm clouds:
To the south:
Thankfully, we both made it home before it started to pour again.
Thanks, Jana! You're right, not very relaxing, but rather exciting. While some might be terrified by such clouds, I always find them to be a bit energizing. *G*
Yes, I could easily imagine a funnel coming down from that one. Thankfully, we didn't get any of the nasty stuff down here, though there was a tornado in the east-central part of the state that weekend.

ReplyDeleteNamaki: I agree, the larger and more ominous the clouds, the better the photos! Thanks for viiting!
Hannah: Juicy is a good word for them. I was surprised it did not storm harder than it did.

ReplyDeleteGreg: Yes, storm clouds can be dramatic, especially at dawn or sunset.
ReplyDeleteKelley: Thank you!
Alice: It was indeed! I was surprised we did not get a severe storm with those clouds.
When ever I'd see clouds like that out there, I'd imagine funnel clouds forming. I could kind of see it in the third one down for instance.
