Beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen that flower. We just moved into a new house in December so this spring it has been interesting to see what is sprouting up around the house.

Frauke: These are Eastern Shooting-Stars, a spring wildflower common in the east and midwest states of Northern United States, and can be found in dry to slightly moist prairies, bluffs, oak savannas or lightly wooded areas. They like sun to medium shade and have no scent or nectar.
