Skywatch Friday 64

Wishing everyone celebrating today a very happy and safe Independence Day! These are from last Saturday night, June 28. They were taken at Olbrich Park on Lake Monona during Madison's "Rhythm and Booms" event. I wish we'd arrived a bit earlier, so as to sit with the Capitol in the background. Maybe next year!

My favorite capture -- the triple hearts

An upside down (from where we were sitting) smiley face

Planets!

Looking across Lake Monona at the Capitol after the fireworks,
looking a bit hazy through the drifting smoke.

  7. We missed Rhythm and Booms because we were up at our cottage in Marquette County. I was glad to hear it went off without a hitch. Maybe next year, we'll be in town. Thanks for the virtual fireworks!

  10. Beth: We weren't sure what to expect this year with the move, but it seemed to transition well. I hope you had a great weekend up at your cottage, and that the temp was more comfortable than it was down here. ☺

  11. Colleen: Thank you! This was the 22nd year of R&B, which has been billed as the Midwest's largest fireworks display. It does not disappoint. :)
