I was deeply saddened Monday evening to learn of the passing of actor and comedic genius, Robin Williams. Whether he was making us laugh as a an alien in "Mork & Mindy" or a cross-dressing nanny in "Mrs. Doubtfire," or creeping us out in such movies as "One Hour Photo," Williams entertained us for more than three decades. It didn't take me long to compile a list of his movies that I own, and there are almost twice as many more that I have seen. Here are some of those in my personal movie library:

How lucky we are that we will have him with us forever, in the more than 70 roles he brought to TV and movie screens. RIP, Mr. Williams, and thank you for keeping us entertained.

ReplyDeleteI've seen at least 9 of those and those ones were great films. I also saw What Dreams May Come, which is in part about suicide, and the after life.

I love this post! Thank you so much for sharing. My husband and I have been in a constant state of melancholy since Monday as we try to celebrate his life. We've watched Hook and Jumanji in his honor and will be watching What Dreams May Come this weekend. I've never been this devastated by the death of a celebrity. But I think he was so much more than that. He was like part of my childhood. :(

ReplyDeleteMia: I am planning to watch a couple of his this weekend I haven't seen in a while. DPS for sure, and I'm not sure what else. I watched Moscow on the Hudson this past spring for the first time in years, and his performance impressed me as much as it did when the movie first came out.
