Thursday Thirteen 357: Frosted Wonderland

Last Monday, November 24, we set a new record for snow on that date, with just over five inches. As the temperature then dipped below freezing overnight, it made for a pretty fairytale landscape. I was only able to get a few pics at work on Tuesday, so was glad that the temp and cloudy skies kept the landscape intact another day, giving me a chance to take photos of the frosted oaks and pines at a nearby park. I took a circuitous route home along a path where thistle and Queen Anne's Lace were also wearing frilly white coats. As always, click on any photo for a larger view.

    Forgetfulone: Thank you. You do get used to it, more or less. Actually, you get used to spending a lot more time indoors, LOL. Nothing like curling up on the sofa with a warm blanket and a book while the snow falls! ☺

    Thanks, Kimberly! I'd musch rather have snow than rain or srizzle when it's cold out. Alas, the landscape looks nothing like this now. Most of that snow has already melted, though we could see a "winter mix" Monday night. Yuck!

    Jana: ROFL... Yes, winter has arrived here if nowhere else. I'm grateful we haven't seen several feet of snow yet, even if snow days are made for curling up with a book and a blanket. ☺
