Taken June 27 from Olbrich Park, where friends and I gathered to watch "Shake the Lake" fireworks. Not that happy with how fireworks pics turned out this year, and didn't get any during the finale as people were standing in front of us at the end, but oh well -- whatcha gonna do, right?
The Capitol, seen from Olbrich Park
The Capitol and MG&E smoke stacks
These are "ground" displays from six barges on the lake
Love the pastel sky in the first photo! At least you got to see fireworks. We had so much rain there were flash flood warnings all around. We did not want to be driving at night- Hard to see if a road or bridge is under water. (We live out in the country where some roads are iffy even in the daylight!) So we skipped it this year. Have a wonderful week-end! Lea
I didn't see any fireworks this year but I heard plenty of them. All my neighbors, including the ones out on the highway, popped off fireworks for three nights straight. Which wouldn't bother me if not for Libs. She does NOT like fireworks. :-)

Thanks, Lea -- sorry to hear you had a wet 4th, but glad you didn't risk those dark country roads with flash flood warnings.
ReplyDeleteI love the reflections!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Merisi!

ReplyDeletePoor Libby! Someone in my neighborhood decided to set some off about midnight one night last week. I was NOT amused.
