Shelley: Thank you. We're at peak color now, though many trees have already lost their leaves completely. Seeing more pumpkins/jack-o-lanterns every day now.
This year I grew my own pumpkins. I was just thinking it was about time to give up on them getting any bigger and put them on the porch. The plant is only about 2/3s dead.
Alice: A friend has tried growing pumpkins the last few years. The first year she actually did get a couple decent sized ones, but the last two years...nada. The vines grow, but no fruit.
What a fun post! Are those all your decorations, or ones you spotted around town? Gotta love October. :)
