Watching the next round of storms come through about 4 PM Wednesday, September 21. . .
The first round started about 4:30 AM, and we ended up with 2.53 inches of rain -- some areas north of us actually had twice or even triple that, with mudslides, heavy flooding, and washed-out roads and bridges. More rain is expected over the next week, except Saturday, our one day to try to dry out.
Hello, I enjoy the dramatic skies. But the flooding and heavy rains care scary. I hope you were safe. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteDramatic and rain laden skies!!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was a crazy week for weather, wasn't it? I hope things will quiet down now for a while. Great photos for "Skywatch"!
ReplyDeleteEileen: Thanks, my area saw only some localized flooding -- mainly low-lying streets during the heavier rain -- but counties just north and west of us have seen excessive flooding, with entire towns under water.
ReplyDeleteYogi: Thank you!
Beth: Indeed it was. Looks like we'll have quieter and more autumnal weather this week.
that´s a lot of rain for a short time. We could use some of it.
ReplyDeleteI wish you could send some my way. We are still super dry out here. You must be getting that moisture from the gulf.
