If feels weird to say "Happy Veteran's Day." I've always considered it a sad holiday.Do you have the day off?
Amen. I don't have the day off. I always thought this was a day to remember those who came back instead of those who died. It's like the other side of the coin of Memorial Day.Happy Veteran's Day!
Alice: No, no day off for me and yes, it does seem weird to say that. "Thank you for your service" seems more appropriate.
Thanks, Jennifer -- and yes, it is a day to honor and thank all of those who have served, not just those who gave their lives for their country.
