I had some company while working in a friend's garden over the weekend. Kind of cute, isn't he? This is a common garden toad, beneficial to gardens as they eat undesirable insects.
Pixiedusk: When I was working in the garden, I thought I saw a blur of movement, but didn't see anything. It wasn't until he moved again that I spotted him. He definitely blends in!
Colleen: That's okay, we don't want to scare him off, seeing as how he takes care of undesirable insects. ;)
Kristin: LOL, I know that feeling. Luckily, I had my camera hanging on the garden fence, and this common toad was rather sedate. Thanks for visiting! ☺
Great shots! He really blends in. I'm not sure if I'd be more happy to see one in my yard, or unhappy that there was enough of the bad insects around to interest him.
