Thursday Thirteen 301: Blooming Butterflies
In mid-August, a friend and I were at Olbrich Botanical Gardens during one of the final days of this year's "Blooming Butterflies" event, held in the Bolz Conservatory. Here are thirteen photos of some of the butterflies seen.

Random Photo: The Latest Shoe Accessory
A friend and I were at the last day for Olbrich Garden's "Blooming Butterflies" over the weekend. Just as we were ready to leave the conservatory, a swallowtail suddenly took a fancy to my shoe, delaying our departure for some ten or fifteen minutes, until the would-be stowaway found another place to rest. Sadly, I don't think this butterfly will last very long. As you can see, one of his wings is damaged, making it difficult for him to fly.

Thursday Thirteen 214: Blooming Butterflies
Last weekend being the final days for Olbrich Garden's "Blooming Butterflies" exhibit, a couple friends and I headed over to the Bolz Conservatory Saturday morning. We timed our visit well this year, as there were a lot of butterflies to be admired. Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure.
Oh—I have a laminated flyer bought during a previous exhibit to tell me the names of the vaious butterflies. I had it out just last month, but do you think I could find it when it came time to do this post? 'Course not. Naturally, it will turn up a week from now. The monarchs should be pretty obvious, but I'm afraid you're on your own for most of the others.
Next week I'll share some of the other photos taken inside Olbrich's Bolz Conservatory. There are some really cool tropical plants here!
(Please leave your link if this is your first visit!)
