Pearl: There are times I wish there were more benches along local bike paths and trails of the Arboretum. Not often, but sometimes you want to be able to sit and enjoy what's around you without other patrons wondering if you are okay.
Uh-huh! Olbrich has quite a staff, as well as many volunteers who help keep the various gardens looking green and well-kept, even during the harshest summers and winters.
The gardens are open year round, and when there is a heavy snow, walkways must be cleared, and trees inspected for damage, especially arbor vitaes, which can be bowed under with heavy snow. The staff tries to clear snow from those ASAP to protect the trees. They also clear away debris. The greenhouses are not open to the public, but there is also the Bolz conservatory, which is maintained by staff and volunteers.

Chairs are such good subjects (they don't move around like butterflies and chickens), especially when they are wood in woodland settings.
Colleen: LOL...definitely easier subjects to photograph than anything with wings. *G*
Nice little spots to "sit a spell." Thanks for visiting 1camera1mom!
a high density of chairs helps any walk. I could sit on the ground of course, but getting up again...
I like the groupings of two, surrounded by greenery. Looks so peaceful.
Christina: Yes, there are. Some of the seats are in out-of-the-way corners, while others are scattered along the various winding paths.

Shelley: I like those groupings, too. :)
That's why I am so late to get here, been sitting around and relaxing. LOL. Thanks for linking up.
Rhonda: ROFL... It's as good an excuse as any! ☺
So lush.

No way you can convince me it's green in winter. Well kept, yet. Wait, do they have publicly accessible hot houses now?
