The first two are from my neighborhood. The first is located on the curve of a quiet side street and is always overflowing, while the second is at a park and is always almost empty. They are only four blocks apart.
These next two are from a friend's neighborhood . . .
This one has been stenciled on both sides.
These are two I have seen in nearby Fitchburg. I'm sharing multiple photos of the one as it has been painted on all sides.
This next one is actually inside the Arboretum grounds, in a residential area:
And here are others I've seen within a 3-4 mile distance of where I live:
Gotta love the cow design! |
This one is the same look/design as another LFL only a few blocks away. |
The pencil and books design was the idea of a young girl.

My husband informed me that he had already seen a couple around town and named the locations. He also said I was welcome to put one in our yard. Now all I have to do is make one.
Alice: You can always order a kit from their website if you don't want to design your own. ,-D
I am impressed that there are so many!
These are wonderful, aren't they? We have several in our neighborhood, too. I would have loved them when I was a kid (and when I was a young mother).
Those are so stinkin' cute!! I want one just because. :-D
I know the two towns I live between are on the small side, but I'm really surprised that these haven't caught on in the college town where I work. It's usually on top of the really cool trends. If I was a taxpayer there, I might suggest putting one or two around town.
Oh, and, uh...is it just me or is Blogger getting really creative with their captcha system? I just had to play the matching game with sandwich photos! =:-O
Wonderful!
Have a great week-end!

Anita: We have hundreds in our area, some listed on the LFL website, and just as many that aren't. I love seeing how creative some people get with them.
Beth: I love seeing them everywhere we go. I was disappointed in not being able to find a red barn shaped one near where I shop, but they have either moved it inside the business, or removed it altogether -- but in searching for that one I found another a few blocks away that wasn't even listed on the LFL website.
Jana: I'm surprised a college town wouldn't have at least one. Someone down there needs to get with the trend! I haven't had to do any captchas in months. I simply hit publish and it bypasses the captcha every time.
Thanks, Lea!
I'd love a kit! I glanced at the site before, but hadn't really been looking for kits at the time.
Yikes! Pricy. I'll see what I can do on my own.
