4 and 5 for me I move everything farther away so I have to walk
Plus you get to see the world. Bring your camera!
No wonder this diet is working so well. They really push the walking.
Yep, it's a good thing! My second-favorite form of exercise (after gardening). I need to make time for it every day. :)
Sandy: Numbers 4 and 5 are definitely good reasons to go for a walk. I find I generally feel better mood-wise after a long walk.
Colleen: Definitely! I always take my camera with me. You never know what you'll see. ☺
Alice: A doctor told one of my friends that the best forms of exercise are walking and bicycling. I really should take my bike out more than I do.
Beth: You can definitely get a good workout gardening. My lower back was killing me after I spent an afternoon helping in a friend's garden -- all that bending and stretching.
I love to walk. I hope that one day I will be able to do it on uneven ground again. Haven't had a good ramble in several years.
Anita: Here's hoping your wish comes true!
I've had my arm in a sling for four weeks due to shoulder surgery. I can't jostle it still until it heals further. My point is I miss walking. I was in the routine of using the treadmill a few times a week, and I miss it. Changes in weight, blood pressure, mood. Hope I can start walking again soon. Great post!
Forgetfulone: I hope your shoulder is mending well, and that you will be walking again soon!
Thank you for sharing this.
Great info. I don't walk that much anymore since I only live 2 minutes from where I work. But I do like hiking, does that count? ;)
I need to walk more
Novroz: Of course hiking counts -- probably more so as hiking tends to be over rougher ground and gives one a greater workout.
