Skywatch Friday 127

Our skies from the past week, starting with Thursday, Nov 12:

Friday, Nov 13 -- partly cloudy, but very windy:

Tuesday, Nov 17 -- as you can see we had pouring rain all day:

Wednesday, Nov 18 -- The rain subsided, but it was gloomy and overcast much of the day, with a few partings of clouds in the late afternoon:

Friday, Nov 19 -- Mostly cloudy today, but cold and quite windy:

Looks like you've got about as much light and rain as we do.

The other day my dh commented that long hours of dark and early sunsets were confusing him. He kept thinking the day was already over when it's still hours before bedtime.

And there are 13! Looks like the parting of the Red Sea with clouds. Almost Biblical.

Perfect skywatch photos! It was weird to see the horizon turn wintry gray this afternoon. And then winter descended. I wonder how many inches of snow we'll have by the time it's over...

We've had rain and clouds off and on as well. The good thing is that I already see snow in the high country. Last summer was so dry it all melted plus some of our glacier ice. Not a good thing. Looks like maybe this year will have a better snow pack. - Margy

Alice -- Uh-huh. It poured all day Tuesday. Wednesday was overcast or mostly cloudy all day. Thursday, mostly cloudy and extremely windy. We did have some sun early today, but by 3 pm it was gray, and the snow started about 5:30 pm. It's been coming down steady ever since.

Colleen -- So there are! I guess this post could have done double duty. :-)

Beth -- The sky certainly changed fast this afternoon. Made me shiver looking at that flat, gray sky. Will indeed be interesting to see how much we end up with.

I hope you get your snow this year, Margy. We're getting some here tonight, at least 3-7 inches.

beautiful pictures, some with nice colors on the clouds, and others rain and gray.
