$1 Stamp Valentine

As any serious stamper knows, Michael's dollar stamps are all the rage--and with good reason. They have some really cute ones from time to time, and truly outdid themselves for Valentine's Day with nearly twenty two-packs of these cute little stamps. As I had just made some major purchases at Archiver's, it was difficult to limit myself, but forced myself to choose the three or four sets I liked best. The heart stamps pictured here are from two of them (their counterparts being greetings).

While writing out cards to friends and family last week I realized I didn't have one that was suitable for my young nephew. I rather doubt he'd appreciate a pink and flowery card, so out came the red and white paper as I tried for a more "masculine" card. I hope I succeeded.

The tiny squares are matted on chocolate chip card stock, and the greeting is part of a trio from Hero Arts. The funky cut of the greeting was done free-hand. All stamping was done using SU real red.
