2013 Books Page

A NEW YEAR, A NEW SET OF READING GOALS.

First, how did I do last year? Not too bad, actually. I finished the Dorothy Sayers collection, read ten classics, exceeded my Goodreads Challenge goal of 100 books by six, and—though I did not complete it—did manage to knock off several books in the "Read the USA" mystery challenge. That seems like a good place to start for 2013 goals: try to get through the stack of state books I have lined up specifically for that challenge. There are a couple states for which I still have not found a book suited to my tastes. For example, if anyone knows of a mystery set in Delaware NOT connected to racing, please let me know. Utah and Oklahoma have also proven difficult.

I need to do better at reading borrowed books. To be fair, part of the problem there was that, for every book I finished that was loaned to me by my sister or a friend, they seemed to hand me two more. Honestly, not. my. fault. I also need to make more of an effort to catch up on favorite authors and series. And, of course, I will make an attempt at ten classics again this year.
