Crowing

Well, this has been an amazing day. Or at least part of it was. A lot of walking again, though it was broken up a bit more than the past couple weeks as I ran errands, but that's not the thing that made it such a great day.

First, friend and Triskelion author Maggie Nash has a short article up on the Triskelion blog today, about romance being "formulaic." It's a great article, so I hope you'll check it out:

Formula? Is that a bad thing?

Second, a friend emailed to ask if I'd seen the latest comment posted to my Romance Diva article, "Of Giant Squid and Romance Novels." Having been out all day I hadn't, and was floored to see that Shirley Jump read, liked and commented. Yay!

But wait, it gets even better! Shirley also mentioned the article and linked to it on her own blog! High praise indeed, considering she is the queen of freelancing, having got her start there (she has written hundreds of articles) before going on to publish several great romances with Silhouette Romance and Kensington Books.

Yes, this has definitely been a great day!

LOL - Is this where I'm supposed to eat crow?

Okay, okay... Yes, you and Cyn both told me it was great. And I believed you. Honest. Even if I do think you a little biased. ,-)

Would truly love a dacquiri about now - or a strawberry margarita. Mmm....

And you're welcome for the plug. For all of them, LOL.
