If you like legal thrillers, check out the review at Jana's blog of Everywhere That Mary Went by Lisa Scottoline.
As noted in an October posting about the Wisconsin Book Festival, there is a note attached to the shelf of her books at indy bookstore Booked For Murder that declares, “Scottoline was over-touted as the female Grisham, however, those of us who have read her know she is funny, sassy and plain BETTER!”
And she is! I love her characters and the wry touch of humor she brings to her books--something you don't expect to find in a legal thriller. Lisa Scottoline became a favorite author of mine after picking up Killer Smile last fall. I soon found myself on a quest for all her back titles, which I've only recently finished reading. The last couple nights I've been reading her new paperback, Devil's Corner. Only that silly J-O-B thing kept me from staying up all night to finish it, and I've been itching to read more all day. Don't you hate it when work gets in the way of reading a good book?

Thanks for the referral, Trix. ;-)
And yes...she's much better suited to me than Grisham. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the first handful of books he wrote but Scottoline's are just so much easier to read and follow and much more entertaining. :-)
Oh, thanks for the tip! I've been looking for something to read - other than romance.
Well you know I love the ones you sent me....I have to get Borders to get them all in!
Get on them, Maggie - harrass them good. We both know they'd sell out of everything they ordered by her. Hehe...
