Midst the barbeques and other events surrounding the three-day holiday weekend, let us not forget to pause and remember the true significance of Memorial Day, to thank all those who have given their lives in the service of our country and upholding the freedoms so many of us take for granted. No matter our political leanings, we owe deep gratitude to them.

Pause to Remember

Yep, yep, yep. I think many times it's easy for us who haven't ever "been there" to forget what a debt we owe to our veterans and service men and women.
I echo your statment Jana! I am truly grateful for the scarfice of all service men and women who served to free our country and to those who serve to keep it free!
