Hedgehog Happiness

What weather we've been having! We had snow move in Friday evening, dumping 5-7 inches across our area overnight. Though there was a lull during the day, we still had high winds, blowing snow and a few flurries throughout Saturday--perfect weather for staying put indoors reading, stamping and catching up on laundry. Not necessarily in that order, mind you. Round two of the blizzard hit about 6pm, bringing more wind and white-out conditions, and piling even more snow on top of us. We've even had thunder snow at least twice! The snow is supposed to continue through Sunday morning, with another light snow on Monday. While many may find it a huge inconvenience, it's also quite exhilarating!

While over to K's house one day last month, she let me borrow some of the stamp sets she has that I don't so I could stamp sheets of images to color and cut out later. The following are two of several cards made using some of those images this afternoon.

Stamps: Hedgehog Happiness & Itty Bitty Backgrounds (Stampin' Up); Thinking of you (Endless Creations)
Paper: White, Real Red, Certainly Celery
Ink: Basic Black, Real Red
Accessories: grosgrain ribbon, oval punch, La Prima markers

The cherry background was from the packaging of a set of Mary Engelbreit notecards received from a friend. It's so pretty there was no way I could throw it out!

Stamps: Hedgehog Happiness
Paper: White (SU), Navy (Archiver's)
Ink: Basic Black, Close to Cocoa (coloring of hedgie)
Accessories: Swirl clip, Red DMC floss, Red grosgrain ribbon, large white brads, La Prima markers

How adorable! I love these! :-)

You wanna know one of the drawbacks of mid to upper 60's temps?

Mosquitos.

*sigh*

Got my first bite yesterday evening while outside with the devil pup. I immediately thought of you. Not because you're a bloodsucking, itch inducing nuisance (you aren't! I swear!) but because I'd done all that bragging about lovely temps and here I was with a freshly itchy leg. So enjoy your snow and mosquito free existance!

:-P

And just for your amusement, the mosquito was the size of a small dog. No kidding. I think we've got teenage mutant ninja mosquitos! Blech!

LOL...are you sure it wasn't the Devil Pup?

Thanks Jana!
