Deadly dosing arsonist bitch

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover
I
'm a child, I'm a mother
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I'm your hell, I'm your dream
I'm nothing in between
Y
ou know you wouldn't want it any other way
~Meredith Brooks

Apparently I'm an unthinking and unfeeeling bitch, or so I was more or less informed this week after speaking my mind about something. Go with the flow, never disagreeing or suggesting a change and you're a stick in the mud. Tell people when they piss you off, or when you think something is unfair or not right -- and instantly you're a bitch. And, apparently, some of us aren't allowed to have feelings, while constantly expected to think of everyone else. Know what? It's tiring always being Miss Nice and suppressing your thoughts, opinions and emotions. It's tiring always being the one to give give give while all others do is take take take. So if standing up and saying that something is wrong is disagreeable to some people, maybe those people ought to take a step back and ask themselves WHY someone feels the way they do, why they said or did what they did, why the truth bothers them so much, and how they could change or make things better. All I'm saying.

On another note, we're talking about poisoning people again over on the Crimescenewriters loop, a topic I never grow weary of. Yup, DEADLY DOSES is my Bible. Okay, so the people in question are actually your characters, but still... There are times such knowledge could really come in handy. If that's not enough to scare you, I've also been reading up on arson this week, in the form of Nora Robert's BLUE SMOKE. Oh my gosh is that a page turner! It's also responsible for my not getting much sleep this week -- one of those where you swear you're only going to finish one chapter...and the next thing you know you've read several and it's going on 3am. Ugh!

I confess the motivating factor in reading this one now is the Lifetime Television movie version airing next Monday night. Will ne interesting to see the treatment it is given and yes, I have ideas as to how I would go about it. Being as it's a two-hour made-for-television version, there are obvious time factors to consider -- not to mention commercials, which would leave about an hour-forty for the actual movie. And way too much action to cram into that short amount of time. So, I'm thinking they'll probably open the way the book does, then skip ahead to the current action, the stuff that takes place in the last third of the book, with events leading up to it being mentioned in backstory. Guess I'll have to wait and see. And, of course, because it conflicts with "Studio 60" I'll have to tape it to watch later in the week. Still haven't watched Montana Sky from earlier this week. Been so long since I read that one, I probably won't even remember parts they left out.

Missy Heather! Shame on you for being a bitch! LOL

Seriously? You know, for a world of people who claim to be so darned open minded it sure doesn't take long for those so-called open minds to slam shut and resort to name calling.

I don't claim to know what happened or exactly why anyone would dare to malign our dear Word Trix but you know what? If being a bitch is equal to speaking your mind then I'm GLAD you're a bitch and glad to call you a friend. You're one of the few people I know in this world--real world or internet (because you know, the internet world ain't "real" lol) who actually speaks their mind and doesn't put up with much crap. That's one of the things I've always loved about you. So spit on anyone who can't handle it. This is a free country (and "free" internet!) where one should be able to speak their mind. Just as they are entitled to express their opinions, so are you entitled to speak yours.

Screw 'em.

Anyway, on to better topics...hehehe, I haven't read any of the books featured as movies on Lifetime nor have I watched 'em. At the risk of being called out on it, I'm not a hugh die hard Nora fan. I loved the stuff she wrote for Silhouette (the Stanislaskis, The McGregors, etc.) but a lot of her other stuff I find hard to read sometimes. I do have a few in my TBR pile that I'll get to one day but *shrugs* ain't no hurry on 'em. I did intend to watch "Montana Sky" the other night but was distracted by a book. ;-)

Anyway, if you're thinking of poisoning anyone let me know. I'll help you hide the evidence...and the body if so needed!

hehehehehe

Thanks Jana! I can always count on you to make me feel better. I won't go into details here, but the irony of the situation is that, while I expressed my personal opinion on something, I at least did not resort to flaming - as did many who posted after me - so guess we know who the better person really is. Stuff like that can't help but make you laugh.

(And I guess we're even on the blog comment typos. Need a trip to Wakmart to find a Hugh Nora book? LOL) :D

Yikes! Heather I have never seen you do "bitch". Puppy-dog eyes, roll over and scratch my tummy maybe I'd wear but, sheesh...

I guess those who object to you having an opinion are afraid you might be right.

Babe (who google won't let in as myself tonight)

Thanks, Babe! Giggling abit over the tummy-rubbing - that might actually be kind of nice, LOL. (Too bad it's not likely to happen any time soon...) And yes, I think the problem was someone daring to go against the masses. Suck-ups really...suck.

And BAD google! I had trouble logging in earlier today as well. Hope they work out all these bugs SOON!

Heather,

Sorry that people gave you grief over expressing your opinion. It's a shame that they can't just agree to disagree and leave it at that. You keep doing what you do best. I hope that the rest of the week turned out better for you.
