Birthday cards made for friend Kim's birthday -- two of them because one is from me and one is from Mom. The sentiment in the first one is from "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" by Alexander McCall Smith and reads: "You can go through life and make new friends every year—every month practically—but there was never any substitute for those friendships of childhood that survive into adult years. Those are the ones in which we are bound to one another with hoops of steel." Perfect for a life-long friend, no? The patterned paper is from the DCWV Far East Stack.
The second one uses one of my brand new stamp sets, Perennial Friendship, and this is my very first card made with it. It also uses the Enchante paper pack from SU and was colored using my Le Plume II markers. Tabs were made with the word window punch.
