Perennial Mother's Day

Should have posted these Sunday, since it was in fact Mother's Day, but wasn't online much this past weekend. These were some of the cards sent to troops overseas to send home to their mothers and grandmothers. The words are part of the Mother's Day cling set from Darcie's and the flowers from Perennial Friendship by Stampin' Up -- a most versatile set indeed. Flowers were colored with Le Plume markers, and the patterned paper is from DCWV's Old World paper pack and a special spring paper pack from Archiver's. Bits of leftover embroidery floss and brads dress them up a bit.

If you missed the card I made for my own mother, which she liked very much, you can see it here.

Pretty, pretty.

I gave my mom a card from Wal-Mart that had a monkey on it. ;-)

Thanks, Jana!

A monkey, huh? LOL

Oooh, another use for scrapbooking supplies! I hadn't even thought of that. I love scrapbooking stuff--making stuff out of it that isn't scrapbooking because I don't scrapbook! (Which is weird, since I love scrapbooking stuff so much. Get me near a craft store and I'm in so much trouble, LOL.)

Craft stores are my downfall as well, Suzanne. I had to cut myself off of stickers and paper until I use up some of the mountain of supplies I already have. Using the scrapbook paper for cards has really helped accomplish that goal.
