13 Things in Little Heather’s Toy box
1. Perfection and Super Perfection...and I excelled at both.
2. Paper dolls (I had a LOT of these growing up—the earmark of a writer, you think?)
3. Mrs. Beasley Doll (Like Buffy had on "Family Affair," except I don't remember mine looking quite like this.)
4. Small "Gentle Ben" stuffed bear (Except I remember calling him "Bem." Apparently I had trouble with the letter N when I was little?)
5. Large purple hippo (about three feet long and a foot wide; gift from an aunt)
6. Stuffed green calico turtle (gift from family friends, after a few years the stuffing in her neck settled so that poor Tina was unable to hold her head up.)
7. Three Barbies, one Skipper and a Sabrina doll (from "Charlie’s Angels"—the original TV show, NOT the cheesy movies. Still mad at baby sister for stealing and trading it. Do you KNOW what that would be worth today??)
8. Jacks, Jump rope and Hula Hoop (didn't most little girls?)
9. Handheld Simon (the gift my parents probably most regretted—they bought one for each of us one Christmas, hehe)
10. Fisher Price dollhouse and village (younger sis had the farm; baby sis had the school—lot of good THAT did her, LOL)
11. Roller skates (both the kind that fit over your shoes and required a skate key and the real kind.)
12. Lite-Brite.
13. Stuffed green cat (Acquired about age two; younger sis had a grey one—I never knew where we got them until a few years ago when Mom told me they were gifts at a Christmas party my dad's boss had.)

Is your purple hippo Henrietta?
Close--his name was Henry Hippo. :D
And you still have this stuff? My God, my parents probably tossed most of it out before I got to Junior High! I think you could start a zoo with all those animals. LOL!
I loved Light Brite! My mom hated it because she always had to pick up the tiny lights behind me (I wasn't the neatest child).

I'm jealous. I had the "Jill" doll, but I wanted the "Sabrina" doll. LOL!
Mrs Beasley, Uncle Bill, Buffy, Jody and Mr French. LOL.
How does all this stuff stay in our heads? What was the big sister's name? I can't remember that one.
LOLOL that's awesome!!! I wish I still had some of my stuff...
Every girl needs a purple hippo ... Woot!
The picture of that top doll was kind of scary.
Man, I remember that #1. I still have all my 70s Barbies, 80s Jem & The Holograms.
Lite Brite and Perfection! Man I wish I had those now.
I had the Cheryl Tiegs Charlies's Angel barbie....we could have had some fun!
I had a Holly Hobby sewing machine-never played with it--but I think I wore out my Monopoly and Payday games.
Gina~ No I do NOT still have all of it. The dogs took out a few items (like Ben and probably Mrs. Beasley), and some toys and books were handed down to one of our cousins when we got to old for it. Other items were lost or donated or got so old they were (sadly) thrown away. Such was the fate of Tina and Henry--they were so old and filled with who knows how many dust mites that I simply threw them away when we moved 12 years ago. Silly me -- I should have taken pictures first!
Grace~ My dad hated the Lite-Brite for the same reason, LOL.
Jennifer S and Gwen~ Ah, soul mates! The adventures our dolls could have had together! :D
Elle~ Her name was Sissy, LOL. Funny what things stick these days and which ones we forget, isn't it? Hehe...
Gwen again~ I had Holly Hobby pants and the lunch box, but none of the dolls or other merchandise. Funny how those have made a comeback in recent years, isn't it? The dolls, not the ugly pants. LOL
Meant to say that I *do* still have some of the Barbies and Skipper. They will be dug out sometime during the next year for my youngest niece to play with. I also have outfits crocheted by an aunt for my sister and I one Christmas, and the pipe cleaner hangers her husband made to go with them. Won't let The Bug have those for a few more years, though, when she's older and can take better care of them.
I had a Mrs. Beasley doll! They are so expensive on ebay right now. Hold on tight to those.
Poor Pitiful Pearl Doll, Easy Bake Oven, Legos. :D
Oh, and MUCH later I stood in line to get a Cabbage Patch Doll.
I'd still enjoy Lite Brite. Don't have one, but I'd enjoy it.
