Another pic taken this summer, before the onslought of rain stripped every petal from the stalk. Today was beautiful. With all the rain we've had the grass is so green it looks like spring--but it feels like fall. We had blue sky today with temps that were warm without being too hot, and a nice breeze washing over the land. Tomorrow is to be much the same, if not a few degrees warmer. It'd be perfect were it not ragweed season. Though I'm not eager to embrace winter just yet, this is the time of year I live for that first good frost of autumn and a few months reprieve.
Here's hoping you were all able to get outside and enjoy your day as I did!

Gorgeous flowers!
You've been the opposite of us with rain. Parts of our front lawn have died -- at least we think so.
Ever been in a humid desert? That's what it's like here.
Thanks Lynn!
Definitely a reversal, but there can be too much of a good thing. We've had five times as much rain as we normally do in August!
The closest I've been to a desert setting is the Arid Dome at Mitchell Park Conservatory in Milwaukee. Somehow I doubt it compares. *w*
