Love Hey There Delilah, but I just know the radio stations are gonna overplay it and kill it for me--just like they did with Green Day's whole American Idiot CD.

Happy TT!

Ooooo I JUST heard "How Long" and loved it.
I love Collective Soul too.
Great list. Now I have to click on all the links.

Yes! Those are some GREAT ones, although "hey there Delilah" is on the verge of over play. :(

I'm ashamed to say, I kind of like that new Avril Lavigne one, too. It's catchy. LOL!

Love 'How Long'! I am liking what I've heard of James Blunt as well.

Happy T13!

Oh, only heard of a couple of those. I need to listen to the radio more, I guess! LOL

Good list, but I haven't heard a lot of those. I'll have to check them out! Is that new Green Day?

I agree with all of you -- "Hey There Delilah" is starting to be overplayed. Still love it!

Jennifer S~ Haven't heard the Avril lavigne, but they don't play a lot of her on the station I usually listen to.

Cassandra~ Don't feel too bad, the station I listen to plays an eclectic mix of music - oldies, classis rock, reggae, blues, current hits - but NO rap or hiphop, which is one of the reasons I love it.

Amelia~ Yes, that is a relatively new song by Green Day. Really great song!

Sorry there were no links to two of the songs, but they are so new I had trouble finding the lyrics online and I tried to find "green" sites that had no popups.

I have to add two new songs heard today on "New Music Thursday":

1. I'm Walkin' (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers) - new Buddy Holly tribute album...sounds like a great lineup on there.

2. Don't You Wish It Was true (John Fogerty)

3. Sunshine (Matt Costa)

OH, what a great idea! I might have to do that next week...If I can remember! Love it...well, not the music so much as the idea. I love rock and roll, though so you're close. My only problem is I don't recognize alot of your list. I'm so out of it.

Thanks, Morgan - borrow away! I think something like this one is bound to surface on everyone's blog eventually, but it's interesting to see what different people like.

I'm terrible with names of songs and who sings them. Let them come on and I know all of the words and the tune though!

Hey, I know the Eagles and Bruce -- I'm not as out of touch as I thought. :D

I hate it when they overplay songs. But on the flip side, I will sometimes play the songs on my mp3 over and over again. I guess it is a mood thing.

Kissa~ I don't always know names/titles either, but have a "phonographic" memory when it comes to remembering lyrics. :D

Gwen~ Me too! Radio overplay can kill a song, yet there are some songs/CDs I can listen to on continuous play for hours and never grow tired of them. Weird, huh?

Boy, I'm lame...I only recognized 5 of these songs. Need to get my head out of my laptop!

Will have to check them out.

Peace.
