Saturday night we celebrated Manda's birthday, which is actually today. One of those milestone birthdays many people dread. We had a banquet room at Imperial Garden for about three hours and had a great time. The meal was served family style, starting off with vegetable and chicken eggrolls (passed on both), followed by huge bowls of rice and five menu items: Sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken, Mongolian beef, beef with broccoli, and shrimp with pea pods. I've never been big on Chinese (I can't even eat rice), but must say that the sesame chicken and the beef and broccoli were quite delish. I'd say a good time was had by all, including and most especially the birthday girl. Here is the card I made her, using last week's SCS sketch challenge, SC225. The main image is popped up.
