Are you re-reading the Potter books?

Tracie Nall said...

It looks like some of those would be good October books! :)

Happy TT!

Awesome! I've read the Rebecca York and the Karen Rose ones, but I won't say how much I liked them because I don't want to get in trouble by endorsing them. Sheesh. I tells ya.

But I will say cool about the ones I haven't read. I'll check um out.

Remind me to get ahold of you when we are gathing volunteers for our read-a-thon.

Happy TT.

Alice - Um, nope. Those would be first-time reads. I know, I know..only a decade behind. lol

Tracie - Indeed they would! *G*

CC - Wow, we have multiple reads in common? Way cool! (And hey, feel free to endorse on my blog, *g*)

Mary - Read-a-thon? *blinking*

The only ones I've read are Harry Potter. Some of them look like cozy mysteries?

Ms Menozzi said...

I miss reading. LOL! I've a pretty sizeable TBR pile near my bed, but I can't get to it until I've got my edits done!

...sigh...

Happy TT!
Ciao for now!

I loved the Harry Potter books, some of those other ones look pretty interesting too.

Happy T13

I have to admit, I haven't read the Harry Potter books. Just never got around to it. I have read one of the Karen Rose books, though. These all look like great curl up on the sofa books.

Lots of good books in there, and that's a lot of reading for the year. I'm only up to 50+, and my husband thinks that is a lot.

Great list. Much to my daughter's horror, I too haven't read the Harry Potter series. I've watched the movies, does that count? lol
A couple of these have piqued my interest. If only there were more hours in the day.
Happy T13!

I did read the HPs. I am woefully behind on my reading this year and you are shaming me.

Another person here who hasn't read Harry Potter (though I did see the movies). I have that first Karen Rose book on my TBR book. Hopefully you liked it...? ;)

I really liked Wild Mind, but then I'm a fan of Natalie Goldberg. I'd like to go to her workshop when she's in the area. Happy TT and kudos for the almost 70 books you've read this year.

hahaha and i m yet to read potter books :)

Wow! 69 books! Fantastic, Heather.
Those mystery books look interesting.

Heather said...

Shelley - Yes, some of these were cozies, and pretty good ones, too.

Ms M - Well, get to editing so you can reward yourself, woman! *g*

Chris - The HP books were good. I'm sure I will get to the remaining five eventually. Maybe even before the next movie. LOL

Ella - Definitely good curl-up-on-the-sofa books. Especially with the weather we've been having.

CountryDew - fifty books a year is a good average, far above the national average. You should feel proud of yourself!

Heather said...

Adelle - I picked up the HP books off a clearance rack, keeping my eye open for others. I have seen all the movies, so definitely counts in my opinion. ;)

Inez - Ah, no need to feel ashamed. We all know Divas read more than the average person. We're special that way! *G*

Cambria - Yes, I did like the Karen Rose books. I finally found books 2 and 3 by her, so will likely get to those later this month. Working on a Lisa Gardner right now.

Brenda - Wild Mind was good. I had the pleasure of hearing Ms. Goldberg speak earlier this year. What a dynamic personality!

Desi - With all these people outing themselves, I don't feel so bad now about getting to HP a decade after they came out. Happy Thursday!

Jennifer - Thanks! It's actually a bit more than 69 since now...72 I think. LOL And the mystery books were good. There was only one I didn't like as well as I thought I would (but I'm not clouding people's judgment by saying which one, hehe).

Love Harry Potter!

Paige - It's easy to see why the books inspired a new generation of readers. So easy to lose oneself in the stories, and they read fast. However, I remember one Diva saying that her books could have done with a bit more editing/tightening up, and I can see that too.

Alice Audrey said...

Wow. A Potter virgin. I didn't think there were any left. when you get to the last book, let me know.

Heather said...

Alice - HA! You're so funny. And, as you can see by comments to this post, I am not alone. Will let you know when I get to book seven. Be forewarned: it could be a while. ;)

Elise Logan said...

uhhh.... i don't bother to count anymore. I lose count. lol.

Nice choices, though.

Good for you! I love the Harry Potter books and Natalie Goldberg's WILD MIND is something I refer to often ... just because ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

Heather said...

Elise - LOL...I've kept track of the books I read for as long as I can remember, but even I am a bit surprised how much I've read this year.

HRG - Thank you! Natalie Goldberg's writing books are excellent resources you can return to again and again.

Janice Seagraves said...

The only ones on your list that I've read are the Harry Potter books.

Happy TT.

Janice - I had a feeling! ;)

They are big books, but I'll bet you whip through them in the half the time you expect. None of them took me longer than three days to consume. Except the last one.
