Monday Movie Meme: Bugged Out!

Share on your blog movies or scenes that feature insects and link back here at The Bumbles.

Yay, a topic I can do my first week playing in over a month! My picks for creepy crawly movies/scenes would include:

* The Princess and the Frog (2009) ~ One of the minor characters is a lightning bug named Ray.

* Pinocchio (1940) ~ Who doesn't love Jiminy Cricket (besides Beaver from Greek)?

* Mulan (1998) ~ Another cricket!

* Practical Magic (1998) ~ Begins with a cricket said to foretell death of a witch's spouse.

* Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) ~ Giant mutant spiders -- need I say more?

* Killer Bees (1974) ~ I only remember seeing one scene of this movie, which was more than enough for me. *shudder*

Mulan is where I got "you lucky bug" from.

I still need to see Princess and the Frog. Maybe hafta wait until it comes out on DVD.

Alice ~ I could use a lucky bug right now, LOL.

Jana ~ Don't wait! Take your niece, whether she has seen it yet or not. You'll love it!

and Harry Potter, I didn't even think of it.

nice list this week, this was a fun topic.

I'm sorry I didn't know who the "who" were :) Music has never been my thing.

If I hadn't gotten stuck on moths I would have included Chamber of Secrets!

Good list; didn't realise there were that many movies with crickets. I briefly came up with that Harry Potter movie for my list but then completely forgot about it while writing it out. I've also still got to see the Princess and the Frog.

Thanks, Kaye! I suppose I can forgive you this once for not knowing who The Who are. ;)

Stacy ~ You did have a bit of a theme going this week, didn't you? lol

Eerie ~ I suppose I could have included Arachnaphobia for it's LACK of crickets, LOL. I highly recommend Princess/Frog. It was classic Disney!

Oh wow...The Killer Bees! That was such a scare way back when. Now we're trying to save the bees. Great list.

Ooo - I remember those Killer Bees. The 70's really were into their disaster movies and evil creatures weren't they?
