This week's movie topic is all about Popular Movies You Hated...
Ever get excited to see some movie the whole world has been gushing about, only to discover that you thought it was a dud? Not only are you completely annoyed that the movie didn't meet your expectations, but you don't have anyone else to complain to because you're the only one who didn't like it. Lonely days. Share on your blog movies you didn't see what all the fuss was about and link back to The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!
I'm keeping it short this week. I'm sure there are many more movies I didn't like, but these are the four that came to mind without intense thought.

I'm keeping it short this week. I'm sure there are many more movies I didn't like, but these are the four that came to mind without intense thought.
* Fargo (1996) : I absolutely HATED this movie. I found much of it slow and boring, and generally wanted my 98 minutes back.
* Shrek (2001) : Sorry, but though I love the song "Accidentally in Love," I am NOT a fan of the big green ogre.
* Annie Hall (1997) : You know, it must be a Woody Allen thing, because I didn't much care for Hannah and Her Sisters, either (though my dislike for that wasn't as intense as for AH). NOT that I've seen many of his movies in general. Actually, the only Allen film I did seem to like was one in which he acted, but did not direct -- The Front.
* Sideways (2004) : Yet another I was anxious to see after hearing all the hype, then didn't understand what all the fuss was about.

Can't stand Woody Allen movies and Shrek? I don't get the attraction either. YUK!
Kaye ~ Whew! Glad I'm not alone! LOL
I can't stand Woody Allen. It isn't just the whining and the voice, either. I simply don't relate to him at all.
Shrek and Fargo, on the other hand, I loved. Laughed hysterically through both. Ooo, gee, maybe I shouldn't have admitted that.
The best thing about Shrek was Donkey. Otherwise would've been boring. :-D
Haven't seen the others listed. None of them have appealed to me at all.
One movie I really looked forward to but was disappointed in was 27 Dresses. Just wasn't nearly as funny and awesome as everyone said it was. Kinda lame, actually.
Movie I loved and didn't expect to, though, Enchanted. Didn't expect to like it at all but ended up loving it.
Alice ~ Glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't get Woody Allen!
Jana ~ Okay, Donkey was sort of funny in Shrek. I have not yet seen Enchanted or 27 Dresses, but both are on my "to see" list.
I'm not a Fargo fan either!
So glad I'm not the only one, Stacy! *G*
I hated Fargo as well! Not a big fan of Shrek, either. Another movie I absolutely can not stand is Pulp Fiction - unfortunately, my husband loves it.
Missy ~ Yay, so glad to know I'm not alone! I have sort of mixed feelings about Pulp Fiction. On the one hand, I don't care for the extreme violence and some of the other content, but at the same time, as a former film crit student, I do have appreciation for the editing and cinematography.
I liked Shrek, but not Fargo. It was on TV yesterday, but I didn't watch it. Thanks for stopping by!
I love do love Shrek! And Fargo was indifferent for me and I've never even seen a Woody Allen movie...no desire.

Sideways made my list too. :-S My husband loved it. I was so bored with it.
I'm completely opposite your selections here with the exception of Sideways. I really didn't enjoy that movie. I didn't find it witty or romantic or interesting. Seems to be one of those that is polarizing.
Forgetfulone ~ People seem to either intensely dislike or love Fargo. It's nice not to be alone on the dislike side.
Heather ~ Trust me, based on what I've seen, you're not missing anything having never seen a Woody Allen film. LOL
Lit Feline ~ So glad I'm not alone in disliking Sideways! I too was bored with it.
Molly ~ I had a feeling you would protest a couple of my choices. *g*
oh I loved shrek--the first one anyway. I laughed so hard.
I don't like woody allen either.
Oh no! I loved Fargo and Shrek! Annie Hall was okay, but I prefer his sillier movies like "take the money and run" and "Sleeper." I haven't seen Sideways.
LOL I thought Fargo looked too weird to see and I only saw Shrek because I took the kids to the dentist. Never saw AH, but did see Hannah and her sIsters and was greatly annoyed with them.
