Silhouette

I'm betting this tree really looks spooky on a cloudy night with a full moon. We'll just have to imagine it since I am not going in the Arboretum alone at night. Nuh-uh...not gonna happen!

Thanks, Kaye. This is now amongst my favorite recent pics. *g*

What? Just because there are foxes and deer and stuff?

I'm not so much afraid of the deer, but I should think the presence of fox and coyote would be good enough reason to avoid a nature preserve in the dark. But hey, that's just me. ; )

Oh, and raccoons. I'm sure there are plenty of those in there as well.

We had mountain lions on the land when I was a kid. My grandfather was always trying to keep me indoors at night because of them. The few times I came even half way close to seeing one I mostly just heard it. I thought it was a calf who lost his mother.

Much as I like cats...I'm glad I don't have to worry about those here. I saw one cross the highway in front of us once in Louisiana and that was close enough for me.

I think this is one of my favorites, too, Trixie. :)
