Oh gosh, my husband loves I Shot The Sheriff! He walks around singing it all the time. LOL I love She Talk To Angels. Great playlist!
I love 'crazy', it always makes me dance.
Stephanie: LOL - So hubby would approve of my list, eh? It's amazing how many different versions of that song are on youtube!
Rachael: Ah, a kindred spirit! I have trouble sitting still during that song, too, even to the point of dancing in my chair at work. *G*
I used to listen to Rap and Hip Hop, but after a while decided I really couldn't relate. I'm no fan of Country Western, but I relate better.
Some oldies and newer stuff. I love Sheryl Crow. Thanks for the tunes.
Happy T13!
Alice: I didn't mind rap so much back in the 80s - you know, when it was relatively clean and fun - but now...it's just noise that gives me a migraine. Country is so-so. Some I like, some is too twangy. Really like the Lady Antebellum song "Need You Now," which another station billed as "adult contemporary" plays.
Adelle: Yes, they play quite a good mix of old and new, from oldies of the 50s and 60s, to current rock, blues and the occasional country or reggae tune. Love this new Sheryl Crow song!
Thank you for the music list...this will reveal my age but my kids 43 and almost 42 love music and know so much about it...I feel like I have been way too busy all my adult life to keep up. I like how they don't let life interfere with their enjoyment of the arts. Now in retirement I am just starting...I will look up your list and enjoy. Thank you.
I like the Verve song, Bitter Sweet Symphony.
I like Natalie Merchant. Her stuff is very good.
Nice list! I switched to the radio from my Japanese language lessons for a change and now I'm trying to track down a song that's haunting my muse. You inspired me to dig in and really search now.
I love Sheryl Crow and Natalie Merchant. I just saw Grace Potter at Floydfest (our town's world music festival) and got some video and of her jumping jack dancing in silver running shorts on stage (posted on the blog).
I love most of these songs! Sounds like an excellent radio station. Ben Folds has always been one of my all-time favorites (along with Natalie Merchant).
I have a feeling I'll like the ones I haven't heard of...off to check them out!
Love Depeche Mode, but I don't know the others!
*hugs*

I love Natalie Merchant! Personal Jesus is a favorite also. Rap or Hip Hop I can stand for dancing only. I can't stand techno music.
Here mine: http://enyascloset.blogspot.com/2010/07/thursday-13-july-29.html
Agreed, that was a nice mix of music!
I really like I Shot The Sheriff, Crazy, and Bittersweet Symphony.
I too used to dig rap back in the 80's, but I don't find 95% of the present material appealing at all.
oohh terrific T 13 :D

I think I usually hear the same five songs every day on the way to and from work. Until those songs rotate off then it'll be a different same five songs for a while. ;-)
Islander: I couldn't imagine life without music. There was always music playing in our house or in the car, and my sisters adn I were involved in school choirs or orchestra as well. I hope you find something on my list you like!
Shelley: I've had strains of "Bitter Sweet Symphony" in my head most the afternoon. I think I'm ready for a new song now, LOL.
Anita: Yes, it is - whether solo or with the Maniacs. *g*
Darla:Ohh, I hope you find the song you're looking for!
Colleen: What are the odds, considering the vast distance between us, that we would both post Grace Potter this week? I did see some of your FloydFest pics last night, but it was getting late, so will have to check out more later!
Jennie: Thanks for visiting and checking out my list. I hope you find a few more tunes to like!
Paige: I'm beginning to worry about you. I'm impressed that you know Depeche Mode, but how can you not know Clapton, Los Lonely Boys or Sheryl Crow?! Tsk, tsk...
Anne: "Personal Jesus" is probably my favorite song by Depeche Mode. "Enjoy the Silence" comes in a close second. I used to like techno for dancing, but even too much of that gets on my nerves these days. Thanks for visiting!
Tatiana: Thank you, I'm glad you liked! I feel the same way about rap - used to like what was played in the 80s, but find 95% of current material crap.
Divaa: Thank you! *g*
Jana: LOL - It's my experience that a great many stations are like that. Play the same most-requested material at the same time of day so that people stuck in their cars get tired of those same few songs. Thankfully, I don't usually have that problem with this particular station.
Great list of familiar tunes. I'm a long time Depeche Mode fan and have been surprised by how often I have been hearing Personal Jesus.
Jill: Thank you. It is amazing how some of the most unlikely songs stand the test of time, isn't it?
Depeche Mode is on lots of my play lists. Actually, several of these are on mine.
Elise: Ah, a woman of good taste! LOL *g*
I haven't heard Personal Jesus in ages!
Mama Zen: I hear it almost daily lately, sometimes twice a day. I must say, it's an awesome song to walk/exercise to. Has a nice, steady beat.
Great list. It's so much fun to see what other people are listening to.
