Teaser Tuesday 48: In Serena's Web

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab a current or recent read.
* Share a few “teaser” sentences from somewhere in the book.
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away. You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title and author so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!

READ: JUNE 2010

Meekly she buttoned the shirt. But her eyes danced.

“Wanton,” he said accusingly.

“Wantin’ is right,” she murmured.

About the Book
Genre: Romance

With her fallen-angel smile, Serena Jameson looked like a cross between a temptress and a teenager, but she could be gently ruthless when it came to getting Brian Ashford to make his move! The handsome industrialist was determined to play Galahad and protect her from danger--danger in the form of rakish playboy Joshua Long. But when Serena pleaded with Brian to teach her how to seduce a man, she ignited a primitive heat that shattered his control...and hers. A captive of her own desires, could Serena escape the tangles of her bewitchingly woven web?

I haven't read this one. It sounds like a good read.

Mine will be up a bit later tonight. I'm not organized yet. :)

Shelley, it was a good one. Her publishers are reprinting all of this earlier series of several books, beginning with this and another to be posted next week.

Not a genre I normally read, but I like good banter.

I could do with discovering another good romance author.

My teaser is The King of Attolia - a book I am very excited about reading this week!

That sounds great! Is it a reprint of one of her old Silhouette or Harlequin romances? My teaser is from Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel. Happy reading!

Beth: Good banter is enjoyable no matter what genre!

Marg: I love Kay Hooper's thrillers, but find her earlier romances enjoyable as well. Two of my favorites are the Quinn novels (Once a Thief; Always a Thief).

Carrie: Thank you! :)

Kathy: Yes, this is a reissue of one of her earlier romances. This one came out in March and Raven on the Wing was out in May. Both are still available in bookstores or online. They are the first two books in the 11 book "Hagen" series, all of which are going to be reprinted.
