Artzoobilee: Homespun Country

A look at...

Animal: Homespun Country
Artist: Ann Windell

Seemed an appropriate one to post this week, since I'm off working a holiday bah-zaar all day. Yeah...I'm going to be soooo tired tonight.

Christmas already?

Uh-huh. Already. The local paper is full of weekend craft fairs. And let me tell you, I was soooooo bored this afternoon. The first couple hours this morning weren't too bad, but everyone around us was talking about how slow it was compared to last year. The Jim Brickman piano music did not help. I mean, if it made the merchants lethargic, you know it did not inspire customers to shop.

Were you manning a table?

The Christmas decorations are up at our local malls already and have been for a couple of weeks. I love this animal art. The artists are so talented.

Alice: Unfortunately. Probably wouldn't have been so bad if it had been a little busier and the music A LOT more upbeat. Slow sales and too-mellow music were making me sleepy.

Shelley: I haven't seen too many Christmas decs yet, but store displays are now up, and two local stations will be switching to their all-Christmas format soon. At least we haven't had any snow yet.

You're lucky. The snow drifted down the the valley today. It's mostly white stuff in the air with little or no accumulation, but it's there right outside my window.

Yeah, I'm not liking the weather moving in from the west for end of this week. Not just cold, but rain mixed with snow. Yuck!

That's called a slushy day.

We warmed up a little and dried out a lot. The snow line crept down the hills a bit, but that was all.

Uh-huh... Glad I don't have to go anywhere Saturday and can just in where it's warm and dry and listen to the Badger game. We're 8-1 and hosting Indiana this week.
