It's official! After a week of agonizing anticipation, Wisconsin Badgers learned this evening that they will be returning to the Rose Bowl on Jan 1, 2011 in a match-up against TCU. The Badgers last trip was in 2000, when they became the first Big Ten team to win back-to-back Rose Bowls. The Badgers finished the season 11-1, garnering a share of the Big Ten title with Ohio State (whom they beat) and Michigan (whom they did not). It's going to be a GREAT new year's day in Madison!

That's like basketball, right?
Hey! Easy on the rotten tomatoes.
*Gasp* Don't make me get hostile with you, woman!
Besides, basketball season lasts seemingly forever--at least into April.
ROFL Basektball. :-D
Congrats to your Badgers. That's super exciting for ya'll, I'm sure!
Our Bulldogs are going to a bowl game this year (after several years of dismal playing) but we're not sure yet which one. Or at least I don't know yet because I don't pay all that much attention when the sports comes on the news.
Jana: Thank you. We are betond exciting. Latesha and I were mulling over the bowl match-ups when they were announced last night. Her school (Penn State) also got a New Year's Day game, the Outback Bowl, versus Florida. So, yeah...we were a happy pair of football fans last night.
*cheeky grin*
Watch it, you...
Finally clued in enough to discover that we're playing Michigan at the Gator bowl on New Year's Day. Much excitement 'round here over that, you can imagine.
That's who Michigan plays. Boss asked me yesterday and I drew a complete blank, even though I had looked over all the bowl match-ups the night before. LOL
