That one certainly fits with the season we're in now.

Doesn't it just! Although--we actually had a mild day here for a change, a whole 34 degrees! Yes, we were actually above freezing. I know, heat wave! I took advantage of it by going for a 3-mile walk, which I am now feeling in my hips and neck. Sigh...walking in winter takes so much more out of you.

You lucky bug. We had a really nice couple of weeks and almost melted back down to pavement, then the standing water froze and show covered it. We're back to nasty driving. Sigh.

Yeah. Lucky. The heat wave was short-lived. Snowed all day Monday, and we are now under blizzard watches and warnings into Wednesday, 10-20 inches of snow when all is said and done. Sigh...

Brrr...all this talk of blizzards is makin' me cold. ;)

Cute polar bear. Icy, but cute.

10-20? Makes me glad I moved.

Jana: Yes, blizzard. As in what is doing outside right now. Blowing and snowing like crazy since about 4pm, and only going to get worse. I had to give up on watching NCIS tonight and asked a friend to record it for me. This is when not having cable truly sucks, as I cannot get a decent signal tonight with the high wind gusts. I bearly managed to make it through the news without throwing something at the TV.

Alice: Yes, 10 to 20. We had 6 inches out of the first round yesterday into early this morning. Then we had a few hours lull during which they tried to clear streets, lots and sidewalks as best as they could before round two started.

Now it's been snowing and blowing again since about 4pm, and they say we're looking at 8-12 more inches overnight. More if we get thundersnow, which they think is possible.

Listening to the wind and watching it blow the snow outside my front window earlier was making my nerves raw. Since I couldn't watch NCIS tonight, I came in the bedroom where, with stereo on low, I cannot hear the wind's keening wail. Makes me shiver just thinking of it again.

Snow is supposed to be even heavier down over the border where my sister is (Rockford area) and over to Chicago. They could see anywhere between two and three feet!
