Teaser Tuesday 69: Savor the Moment

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current book or recent read.
* Share a few “teaser” sentences from somewhere in the book.
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away. You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title and author so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!

Am currently about halfway through this one, with book four up next. A little bit longer teaser this week, but I think you will agree that it is worth it. *grin*

Growing up in a female-dominated household provided Del with certain basics to live by. One, which he thought applied at the moment, decreed if a man didn't understand what was going on, and the lack of understanding meant trouble, a certain distnace was recommended.

The same rule, he felt, applied in more...personal male/feamle relationships—which was also oddly apt under the circumstances.

From GoodReads:
Savor the Moment (Bride Quartet #3)
By Nora Roberts

New Love takes the cake in the third novel in Nora Roberts's new Bride Quartet-in a stunning French flap edition

Wedding baker Laurel McBane is surrounded by romance working at Vows wedding planning company with her best friends Parker, Emma, and Mac. But she's too low-key to appreciate all the luxuries that their clients seem to long for. What she does appreciate is a strong, intelligent man, a man just like Parker's older brother Delaney, on whom she's had a mega-crush since childhood.

But some infatuations last longer than others, and Laurel is convinced that the Ivy League lawyer is still out of her reach. Plus, Del is too protective of Laurel to ever cross the line with her—or so she thinks. When Laurel's quicksilver moods get the better of her—leading to an angry, hot, all-together mind-blowing kiss with Del—she'll have to quiet the doubts in her mind to turn a moment of passion into forever...

Booklover: If only more men were that quick, huh? lol

Shelley: Thanks! *g*

Majanka: Thank you!

Marg: Hey! Something we've both read for a change! *vbg*

Laurel-Rain: It has been a good series, and the books read fairly fast. I'd probably be done already had I not been so caught up in football Sunday. *g*

Belinda: Thank you, glad you like!

Joanna: I've been trying to keep up with her current books while catching up on a couple backlist titles each year. The problem is, she's so darn prolific that catching up is nearly impossible!

K. Harrington: Oooh...I'll have to see if I can figure out who had the other one. Inquiring minds... *g*

Heather said...

Gautami: Thank you. : )

Kelly: What are you waitiing for? Time to get cracking on this one! *g*

Kaye: Definitely true!

Sally: I am enjoying this series myself. *g*

Poor guy - growing up in a female-dominated household is hard enough for the females involved! Great teaser.

Can't go wrong with Nora Roberts.

Currently I'm into her JD Robb tales of Roarke and Eve.

Hope Roberts does good with this one by your eyes :)

Joy: Having grown up with too many sisters, all I can say is: that it is!

Aisle B: She's always a good author to turn to when you're not sure what to read next, or are looking for a "comfort" read.

BLH: We could send out flyers to all men over the age of 15, but I somehow doubt it would sink into very many heads. Their species being as stubborn as they are. ;)

Emma: Happy Tuesday!

Kavyen: Thank you!

I hope she corners him and shows him that sometimes distance isn't nearly as important is figuring something out.

Sounds like a delicious read for these cold winter nights! I have an Ann Rivers Siddons in my TBR stack that's a lot like this one.

My TT is for "The Holy Thief". Link: Summit Musings

Andrea: The great thing about Nora Roberts is that her books range from contemporary romance, to rom suspense to futuristic (under JD Robb). Pretty much something for everyone!

Alice: Neither of them maintains distance for very long. *VBG*

Faye: Definitely! I am now done with this one and moving on to the last of the quartet. *G*

;D
