Masculine Birthday Card

Made for my BIL last month. The stamp is from Tim Holtz, paper DCWV, and the greeting printed on the computer.

That's a cool card, Trix. Love those vintage cars.

Thanks, Jana - those vintage images are always good for masculine cards.

It came together really nicely. But then, I'm a fan of brown, and of the antique look.

Alice: The few "vintage" style stamp sets I have are among my favorite. There's a new nautical one in the Stampin' Up Summer Mini catalog that I am really pining for. One way or another, it will be mine before the end of August. I hope...

Ooh, this is nice. I really like the vintage look.

I thought about getting you a stamp for your birthday, but figured you probably already had anything I might get my hands on.

Shelley: Thank you.

Alice: You did? Aw, shucks... To be honest, the odds of my having whatever you were going to buy are probably pretty slim, since the only thing I've bought in the past year were a set of nostalgic Christmas stamps, and friends were horrible about taking hints at Stampin' Up workshops last year. I mean, "this set is SOOO me!" isn't that subtle, LOL.

LOL. But I've never had anything to do with Stampin Up stuff. You'd end up with a cheap dime store stamp from me. Those things are common as dirt.

Hey, I'm worth more than cheap dime store stamps! :-P

Seriously, there are a lot of great companies out there that sell individual stamps, including Studio G (they are known for their $1 stamps), Savvy Stamps, Hero Arts, Stampendous, Tim Holtz (he has some awesome vintage stamps)...I could go on.
