Ah, that's what's missing. I haven't watched any holiday movies yet.

Aw, what a lovely list! My local movie theater is showing Miracle on 34th Street on the big screen this Saturday. It's a morning matinee, so I probably won't get it together in time. But what a great holiday outing for families that will be.

I know a Polar express junkie. few addictions are more powerful. It's sad, really. She'd watch it on the 4th of July, if it were on. It wouldn't surprise me if she secretly slips in the disc after the fireworks anyway.

We watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer last night on DVD. Not a film, I know, but it isn't Christmas without it and I missed it when it came on TV last week. It's weird what you need to make it feel like the holidays.

Good post. I'm a sucker for all these holiday movies. I love watching them over and over. :)

Alice: *Blinking* None? I watched four in two days just over Black Friday weekend, one of which is on this list.

Gal: Oh, I would love to see Miracle on 34th Street on the big screen--provided it is the original B&W version.

Ron: Oh, my... I love The Polar Express, but not so much I pull it out midsummer. It's cool, though, how some communities now have "Polar Express" pajama train rides, complete with hot cocoa and a visit from Santa Claus.

Anita: I missed Rudolph. I think it was on opposite something else I normally watch. I have popped in my video of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, though.

Brenda: These are all favorites I watch every year, though the list is missing Meet Me in St Louis - only have that one taped off of TV - and I did not know I had The Enchanted Christmas until recently inventorying movies. Must be leftover from when the nieces were little, 'cause I've never even seen it.

Miracle on 34th (older version) is still one of my favorites :)

Happy holidays and happty tt

Rose: Yes, it has to be the original B&W version. I have never even seen the 1990s remake - don't care to - and hate the way Ted Turner insisted on colorizing everything in the 80s and 90s. It's one thing to restore old films. I'm all for that. But leave them in their original format.

I actually like BOTH versions of Miracle on 34th street. I know.

Rudolph is coming on again this Saturday, I think. On CBS. Frosty comes on tomorrow night on CBS. I'll hafta record Chuck so I can watch it. hehehe

Ibeati: Yes, there have been dozens of variations on A Christmas Carol, including one with Susan Lucci called Ebbie (also produced as Miracle at Christmas). Henry Winkler was in An American Christmas Carol (1979), and at least two other Christmas movies. Can't say I've seen any of these.

Jana: Yes, Frosty is on Friday night, and Rudolph repeats Saturday. Might have to tune in to those. ;-)

I'll be watching eight of these in the next few weeks. I've held off because in my head, it was just July. I have to ease into things a bit. *grin*

I thought The Elf was funny and I liked the Scrooge with Bill Murray. The audience got up and cheered at the end of that when I saw it maybe in the late 70's.

I like 7 of your movies. I cannot remember The Holiday or the Holiday Inn. Now, I feel like watching a movie. Thanks for sharing and visiting today.

Harriet: Great minds think alike! *g*

Xakara: Only eight? LOL I take it there are a few you either don't know or don't like?

Colleen: I cannot stand Elf, and Scrooged was from 1988, not the 70s. Please don't make me older than I am. *whimper* Friends and I took up an entire row seeing that when we were home from college on winter break--and yes, the audience here applauded and was singing along during the credits. Great movie!

Rekaya: Holiday Inn is an old B&W movie from 1942 starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. Lots of talent and great music. The Holiday is newer, out only a couple years ago, and stars Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black. Absolutely love it!

I haven't watched any Christmas movies yet. I feel like watching White Christmas, and I always watch Love Actually. It's one of my favorites.

I've seen most of these, but I think I enjoy A Christmas Story the most. So many great lines!

Happy Belated TT to you! :)

Shelley: I love watching Love Actually, as well as While You Were Sleeping this time of year. I should have added them to my list as "bonuses." *g*

Kimberly: A Christmas Story is one of my all-time favorites. I can watch it several times in one season. *vbg*
