A heavy, wet snow fell across Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois most of Friday, leaving somewhere between four and five inches in my area. While it made the commute home a bit tricky with slippery roads and fog, it also made for a pretty landscape. I took the camera out for a short walk after work, before dusk settled in, and this is one of my favroites of the results. Ironcially, temps will be climbing into the 50s next week. Gotta love the weather this time of year (snort).

I feel for you. We haven't had much fresh snow in the last several weeks, but we still have a few piles left over from January. I'm ready for Spring.
That´s beautiful!
Alice: Thanks! We ended up with about 5 inches by 6pm Friday evening, then flurries and light snow showers throughout the weekend. Most of it will be gone by the end of next week, as temps in the 50s are expected by Wednesday.
Evalinn: Thank you! : )
Lovely shot, Trix. I'm glad the snow didn't mess up your weekend. :)
Thanks, Jana! I'm glad we did not get more snow, and that it did not completely derail birthday plans as the weather has in the past. This time of year can be so unpredictable!
