While watching Season Two of True Blood at a friend's a few weeks ago, I borrowed one of her retired stamp sets from Stampin' Up, Exotic Birds, and stamped up a bunch of the images for later use. They were perfect for some of these cards.
For a few of the cards I dug out some leftover inchies (Inkadinkado) stamped eons ago, which I have been trying to use up. Double matted with scalloped squares, they also worked well with these large florals.
A close-up of one of the burgandy bird cards.
MATERIALS:
Stamps: Exotic Birds (Stampin' Up, retired); Butterflies & Birds (Inkadinkado)
Paper: Joy's Vintage Papers (Hot Off the Press), Wausau Paper (white), DCWV (solid colors)
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Accessories: Square punchs (Marvy)

These are gorgeous, Heather. The cards in the shades of blue are my favorites. :)
Thanks, Shelley!
I've had this paper for I don't know how long, and recently found it in a box with blank scrapbook albums waiting to be filled. The next day this sketch challenge was posted, and I thought these coordinating stripes and florals would be perfect for it. So glad I was right! There were also some purple papers I liked together I might use yet. Can never have too many all-purpose cards on hand! *g*
Lovely as always. :)
Thanks, Jana!
Oh, egrets. Or maybe herons. At first I thought they were ugly cats sitting face forward. Then I thought they see owls on a branch. My mind is playing tricks on me.
ROFL...I'm not even going to ask how you thought that was a cat. Personally, I was thinking it was a crane.
