Thanks, Rose! People can start setting out blankets at 3pm, and it's amazing how fast the Capitol lawn fills up with blankets and towels after that.

Texas Sweetie: Sort of a bittersweet feeling tonight, as it is the final performance of the 6-week series. Where did the last six weeks go??

Great photo. You can feel the anticipation of good times to come.

I can just FEEL the leg and butt cramps. hehehe

Does look like a bunch of giant quilting squares, though, don't it? ;-)

Thanks, Shelley!

Jana: LOL...you can actually use beach chairs with tubular legs on the lawn, or you can set up lawn chairs along the edge of the sidewalk and in the street. We used to do the lawn thing, but usually bring chairs and sit in the street these days.

I'd definitely be sitting in the street. *nods*

Snicker...guess I should have taken pics of chair seating, huh? Next year...

Alice: Um, no. I did caption the pics "Concerts on the Square", lol. :-D
